Our Services
ARSYS provides Supportive Services for individuals with Developmental Disabilities and related conditions, as well as Emotional Behavioral Disorders. We currently serve people in Olmsted, Anoka, and Dodge County Minnesota. We currently have two offices, our headquarters in Rochester MN, and our Anoka division office is located in Fridley MN.
The different programs we offer to support individuals are: In-Home Support Services, Semi Independent Living Services SILS, Group Programs called BLAST (Anoka), and CHIP (Community and Home Integration Program in Rochester) which has a staffing ratio of up to 4 clients per staff working with clients on skill building in the community or at one of our resource sites. We also provide Weekend Respite stays at our Respite home, and we provide Supported Living Services (SLS, or residential group homes).
Please read the descriptions below for a more detailed description of our services.
Residential Services
We currently have 4 SLS homes in Rochester, MN. Each of these homes are unique programs built with the focus in each home to be as unique as the persons who live there. Our staff provides our clients support and encouragement to become as independent as possible in areas of daily living such as: money management, personal hygiene, cooking, home making skills, and also attending and participating in community events. Our supervisors are included in the scheduling rotation weekly to more effectively support the clients and staff.
In-Home Support Services
This service is based on one staff to one client ratio. Services may be provided in the person's home, community, or even working on skill building at our Resource Home. We pride ourselves in listening to the individual's needs and wants, and setting up services to support them in attaining their goals. We currently serve approximately 145 clients in our Anoka County and Olmsted County In-Home Supports Programs. There are a number of different funding sources to pay for these services, from State funded DD (Developmentally Disabled) Waivers, CADI (Community Alternative for Disabled Individual) Waivers, TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) Waivers, as well as county funds through such grants as the Consumer Support Grants, Respite Funds, or we also serve some individuals who privately pay for services.
Respite
Our Respite service provides a 24 hour staffed residential home for up to 4 clients every weekend. Clients arrive at 5:00pm Friday evening and stay until 4:00pm Sunday afternoon. It's an opportunity for individuals to experience life away from their parents, and get a chance to have fun with peers for a weekend. We currently have one Respite home, located in Rochester (Olmsted County).
Group Programs
Our Group programs are CHIP (Community Integration Program) in Olmsted County, and BLAST in Anoka County. Staff to client ratio will be up to 4:1.
These programs are open to all ages. Program hours are 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday thru Friday
during summer months and 2:00pm to 6:00pm Monday thru Friday on school days. Weekend opportunities are also available. Please refer to the Anoka County activity schedule link at the top of the page to view upcoming activities.
